Nick's work on A Christmas Carol was a nominee in the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards 2008 for Theatre: Best Music and Sound Design.
Review
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is usually compulsory seasonal entertainment. John Mortimer's stage adaptation of the story faithfully maintains the original narrative, while adding theatrical elements to create dramatic stage impact.
KLPac's presentation of Mortimer's adaptation, directed by Christopher Ling, is buoyant with the energy and enthusiasm of its all youthful cast, Darius Taraporvala being the sole exception. The technical wizardry of sets, lighting and arrangement is an impressive indication of talent and imagination. Live music with original scores creates an intimate immediacy. Audiences are on to a good evening...

The classic tale by Charles Dickens is brought to life in this production of A Christmas Carol, adapted by UK playwright John Mortimer. The miserly Scrooge learns a lesson about love, generosity and compassion when he is visited by three spirits, of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet To Come. A Christmas Carol was performed as a play with Nick’s original music, songs and rearrangements of classic carols such as Angels From the Realm Of Glory, Silent Night and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
